ABSTRACT

This research was carried out to investigate the effect of class-size on students’ academic performance in senior public secondary schools in Gwagwalada area council, FCT, Abuja. The research methodology used for this research is the descriptive survey research design. The data collected from the questionnaire was analyzed based on the research questions of the study with explanations following immediately. It was discovered that large class-size leads to poor performance of the students’ and poor class-room management. It was recommended that school administrators should ensure they comply with the recommended class-size in the National Policy on Education.
